The Nerd RC Story

This whole project started in February of 2024. Three fellow micro crawlers locked in on a comment I made along the lines of, "I think I can make a chassis kit that is class one legal but competitive in all three classes." Their immediate responses were along the lines of, "Prove it." and "Want any testors?" and, "I want in!" Shortly thereafter I had the flimsiest chassis that has ever graced a micro crawler, printed in quadruplicate, and ready to throw on our rigs days before the season opener. The first prototype was not meant to be tough, just to figure out where I wanted my starting geometry... but we all threw them together and headed to the comp! Some of us podiumed, some of us broke rigs, but we all realized we had something special here. We had gathered a buzz of local competitors wanting to know more about this little chassis that could. Months passed and comps came and went; the chassis got better, stronger, and more refined. Us four spent the entire summer comp series building not only a killer chassis, but incredible friendships. Zach, Ian, Casey, and myself all gave something to this project. And now, Im glad to give it to you. Welcome to NerdRC.
